“After Hours” by Alabama, Birmingham and Avery Parrish is a blues song with instrumentation on the piano. The song was published in the year 1940 under the label Blue Bird. The music of the song was composed by Avery Perish and the lyrics were written by Robert Bruce and Buddy Feyne. Upon its release this song was a big hit and is now used as the theme song of Jim Wilke’s (public Radio International host) show “Jazz After Hours”.
